Distorted Message

Yesterday, the children was in the room with their daddy while I was in the living room watching TV serial. Then they came out giggling.

My son pointed at me and said, "Auntie! Auntie!" and continued to laugh.

My girl talked to me in a gigglish way, "Mummy [giggle], daddy said ah [giggle], you are auntie [giggle] because you are fat !!" Then she burst out in huge laughter.

Before I could clarify the whole matter as why the kids were told that I am FAT and an AUNTIE, daddy came running out of the room.

"NO! NO! NO! They distort the whole thing!!

They were having a causal conversation about what they want to be when they grow up. When it was my turn, my daughter told daddy, "Mummy wants to be a dancer" (PS: I told her I want to be a teacher, NOT dancer)

Daddy said, "Cannot ... because [whispering] mummy is fat, cannot be dancer."

Girl: "Then what mummy wants to be?"

Daddy: "Erm...auntie lor"

SO, it's after this conversation and the kids came out laughing at me!

HUH!

Daddy said he was innocent as our girl has distorted the conversation, but I think the whole meaning is THE SAME !

-> Because mummy is fat, she cannot be a dancer, so she will be an auntie

=> Mummy is an auntie because she is fat.

Aren't they the same??

BUT STILL !! He should not said that I AM FAT ! *angry*

The children was laughing so hard and I acted as if I was very mad, NOT at them, but towards THEIR OLD MAN !!

Sorry, but I cannot help but laugh at the fact that Daddy had got himself into a fix!

I can just imagine the horror on his face to have to justify the "distortion".
