阿公，您安息吧 ！

My 84 year old maternal grandfather had passed away peacefully around noon.

He had dementia for a few years, cannot recognise any of his grandchildren.

He was admitted to the hospital on Monday due to difficulties in breathing. Everyone had seen him for the last time and he went peacefully today.

My mum and 阿姨 rushed down to hospital after receiving a call from hospital that grandfather maybe cannot make it. But while they were caught in the jam, a call from my dad (who managed to rush down from office and able to see 阿公 the final moment) that grandfather had passed away ...

I had visited him yesterday and had no regret ...

Though we were not very close, I broke down while breaking the news to hubby ...

我们都是生命过客。。无法避免身体的退化。。

死 = 往生 （前往生的路）, 所以死未必是坏事 ... 只是一段生命的结束，另一段生命的开始 ...
